Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of Solar Data Pros services including SolarFax®, Know True-Up®, and WattsTrue℠. By using our Services, you agree to comply with this AUP. Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account.

1. Permitted Use

You may use our Services only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with your subscription plan. Permitted uses include:

  • Accessing and analyzing energy data for accounts you are authorized to manage
  • Generating reports for your customers as part of your solar or energy business
  • Monitoring solar system performance and utility billing for NEM customers
  • Integrating with third-party tools via our supported integrations

2. Prohibited Activities

You may not use the Services to:

  • Access, collect, or store data for accounts you are not authorized to manage
  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data beyond your authorized usage
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
  • Circumvent rate limits, authentication, or access controls
  • Resell, sublicense, or distribute access to the Services without written authorization
  • Use the Services to transmit malware, spam, or harmful content
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system or network
  • Violate any applicable local, state, federal, or international law or regulation

3. Data Responsibilities

You are responsible for ensuring you have appropriate authorization before connecting utility accounts or accessing customer energy data through our Services. You must comply with all applicable data privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

4. API and Integration Use

If you access our Services via API or integration, you must comply with any applicable rate limits and usage guidelines. Automated access that degrades service performance for other users is strictly prohibited.

5. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, please report it to info@SolarFax.com immediately.

6. Enforcement

We reserve the right to investigate any suspected violation of this AUP and to suspend or terminate access without notice if we determine a violation has occurred. We may also report violations to law enforcement authorities.
